Long time no post
Wow - sorry I've been away so long.
There were three deaths in our family 10 days apart that we traveled to MS for. Then school got rolling and I am just now recovering. And I only have a month of summer left. Boo.
Here is a pic from Sweet Pea's 7th b-day.

Still Walking
Well, here I am in the last week of this month. I am very close to my goal in my walking plan. I am ahead of where I should be for the date, so basically I could lay down all day tomorrow and still be on track. I have walked about 149 miles as of right now, which is my goal for the week that ends tomorrow night. Maybe I should make Sunday a very lazy day! My goal of 175 miles in March is very close. I have thought of upping the goal to 185 for April.
This sounds good in theory, but really, I'm just very tired. The combination of allergies and a busy week at school and home has made me extremely fatigued. Hopefully, a weekend of rest and grading writing will help me!! HA! My hubby and I are going on a much needed date tomorrow night, which is very exciting. He says I get to pick, but his birthday is very soon, so maybe he should pick!!
My funny kid quote for the week - I had about 5 minutes to fill before we had to pack up for the day, so I asked the students which short activity they preferred. They all wanted to read a story, and pointed out that I had forgotten it earlier that day. I said, "I am getting very forgetful." Then one of my students said, "Yes, Mrs. W, you are very forgettable."

Right now
As a part of my new fitness goals and getting on track, I am keeping up with my steps and mileage each day. I have an awesome pedometer that I received for Christmas. This helps me to track steps, and it also calculates the miles I have walked each day. It even can tell how many of those steps are aerobic, as a part of exercise. I can't believe that it can tell how I am moving for this, but it is very accurate!
For the month of February, my goal was 150 miles, which I barely met!! March is a longer month, so I have tried to set a challenging, but realistic goal of 175 miles. So far, I am on track. Yesterday was the halfway point of the month and I had walked a total of 91.79 miles.
I hope to upload my calender so that I can show how I am keeping up with this. It is a fun challenge to do. Weekdays are pretty easy to get steps, because I walk so much at school. On most Sundays, I struggle to get many steps, but we are working as a family to walk on some Sundays. I'll keep you updated on my progress.

About Me
Hi! I am Anna Beth. I am a 30 something mom, wife and Christian. My day job is a teacher. I teach first grade, which I love. Right now, my two girls are 6 and 4. One is in first grade too and the other one is in preschool. I am married to a wonderful man. This summer will be our tenth anniversary!! In my limited spare time, I like to craft, usually crocheting, read, mess around on the computer and exercise.
One of the reasons I started this was to keep track of fitness and health goals. I have lost about 90 pounds in the last two years. I have about 40 more to go, and I am really struggling with this, so I am trying to be more accountable and set new goals. Soon, I will be sharing a month long goal that I am very excited about.
So that is a little about me!

The Name
So I 'm sure you're thinking - is she really that selfish that she has to come first? Nope, I did that because I am a first grade teacher. I am selfish sometimes, but not quite so boldly. :)
